- Indonesian Cultural Immersion Program (ICIP): This program offers a short-term [2 weeks to a few months] intensive experience for foreigners interested in learning both the Indonesian language and culture in a village in South and West Sulawesi. Within this program, Alekawa facilitates Indonesian language classes and provides foreign students the opportunity to stay with Indonesian families in the village. The cost of the ICIP is adjusted based on the program's location and duration.
- Cultural Exchange [Berbudi]: This program is designed to share more specific cultural insights within daily contexts. It takes place every 2 months, covering various topics, and is offered to BIPA students at no additional charge. Program topics can also be suggested by students if they feel the need for more in-depth discussions in a shared forum with other students.
- Cultural Visits, held 1-2 times a year: These excursions help students explore different places and cultures across Indonesia. The selected locations are known for their exclusive traditions, making them captivating to visit and experience firsthand. Examples include Rambu Solo in Toraja, Ammatoa Kajang in Bulukumba, Bissu in Pangkep, silk craft villages in Wajo, and more. The cost for cultural visits is tailored to the location and duration of the program.
